Registration Categories

The registration for invited speakers does not include the accommodation, but does include lunches, coffee breaks and the conference banquet in the evening of July 6. Extra tickets for accompanying guests are available for purchase on the registration site.

Since July is a busy period in Banyuls and because there is the "Festa Catalana" in the city during the days of the WUDS, we advise that invited speakers reserve as soon as possible their accommodation (please refer to the Hotel Reservation tab of this same web page).

The participation of students and young scientists as auditors of the workshop is welcomed and encouraged. Due to this fact, we set up the possibility of an "Auditor" subscription category, which will include a basic accommodation at the dormitory of the Banyuls research center, and will also include breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks. A third, cheaper, "External auditor" registration category includes lunches and coffee breaks, but does not include accommodation. These two registration categories do not include the participation in the conference banquet. Indeed, with the goal in mind of simplifying logistics, we organized the workshop banquet only for the invited speakers. Nevertheless, if an auditor is interested in attending also the conference banquet, please contact the organizers before paying for your registration, and we will do our best to organize things to accommodate for all the different requests.

Finally, we included the possibility of registering as a supporting speaker or gold supporter for participants that would like to provide additional financial support to the workshop organization. Two levels of support are foreseen (basic or gold), each of them associated to the possibility of having one or two extra tickets for the workshop banquet. Please contact the organizers if you would like to register in one of these categories.

The following table clarifies the costs and the services included in each type of registration:

Speaker Registration: 260 euros includes:

Supporting Speaker Registration: 320 euros includes:

1. Welcome cocktail on July 4
2. Coffee Breaks and Three lunches

4. No accommodation

Gold Supporter Registration: 400 euros includes:

1. Welcome cocktail on July 4
2. Coffee Breaks and Three lunches
3. Up to 3 Workshop Banquet Included
4. No accommodation

Auditor Registration: 360 euros includes:

1. Welcome cocktail on July 4
2. Coffee Breaks and Three lunches
3. No Workshop Banquet
4. Accommodation (with breakfast) for 3 nights (4/7 --> 7/7) at the Dormitory of the Observatoire Oceanographique

External Auditor Registration: 200 euros includes:

1. Welcome cocktail on July 4
2. Coffee Breaks and Three lunches
3. No Workshop Banquet
4. No accommodation

For the Auditors (external or not), it is emphasized that due to logistic reasons, the workshop is limited to a total number of 45 participants and the available slots will be distributed following a first-come first-served policy.

Registration Instructions

Once you have decided what type of registration you would like to pay (please contact the workshop organizers if you have any doubts or questions), you may complete your registration online by following the next steps:

1. Go to the pre-registration page by clicking on this link. Insert your personal information and select from the drop-down menu what type of registration you would like to pay for.
2. The system will then request a confirmation from the organizers (since this workshop is upon invitation only, only authorized registrations are allowed). You will receive a confirmation email about your pending pre-registration (please ignore the misleading, possibly confusing, message contained in that confirmation email). Please make sure the email is not accidentally misplaced in your spam folder by a selective spam filter! If yes, keep an eye on your spam folder for your validation email (see the next step).
3. As soon as possible (most likely within a few days) the organizers will approve your preregistration and you will then receive an email of authorization to proceed (validation email). You may then complete your registration using the link that will be provided in the corresponding validation email.
4. Using this link, you may now proceed to the final registration pages comprising billing information, envisioned day/time of arrival and departure, and payment (using a credit card or, if you belong to a French administration, using a "bon de commande" or "virement bancaire"), obtain your receipt, and a last confirmation email.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need extra guidance. Since the registration/payment website is originally in French, it might be that some confirmation emails will be sent in French rather than English. In that case please let us know and we will to our best to resolve the issue.
